Abstract:	台灣在經由日本人統治後，日本針對漢人和原住民採用不同的政策，本文主要是要探討日人對原住民所實施的各項政策，包括組織制度、隘勇線、抗日事件、討罰行動等，閱讀日人所留下的史料《理蕃誌稿》，檢驗研究者如何使用該史料，分析其史料價值。本文分為前言、台灣總督府與《理蕃誌稿》的編纂、《理蕃誌稿》內容概述、《理蕃誌稿》的價值、結論。
