The purpose of this paper is to address issues related to the whole child development and holistic education for young children with disabilities. Considerations are given to the following aspects: (a) holistic perspectives on education for young children with disabilities; (b) spiritual development's contribution to the discourse of the whole child development; and (c) implications for special education early childhood. This presentation concludes that special education teachers should recognize spirituality as an integral part of the lives of students with disabilities and to see beyond the physical and academic aspects of disability.
