Abstract:	雖然地球科學的知識一直環繞在我們四週，在『課外』知識的領域中它一直是主角，但正式大量編入中小學教材卻是最近的事。由於專任師資的缺乏，大多數老師並不了解地科包含了哪些內容?和理化等科目又有什麼不同?即使在許多專校或大學的地球科學課程中也因為教師的專長有限而使教學內容無法涵蓋整個地球科學的領域。本文中筆者將依據相關資料大略介紹地球科學主要的研究範圍、方法和地科不同於傳統理化的一些特性。
