Abstract:	本文旨在說明西藏流傳的生死觀念。透過藏傳佛教「生死流轉圖」及西藏醫學《四部醫典》「人體胚胎發育圖」，分析藏族在宗教與醫學之下所蘊含的地域文化與民俗色彩，進而瞭解西藏獨特的生死學與人生觀。雖然「生死流轉圖」、「人體胚胎發育圖」，以及與生命起始相關的《佛為阿難說入胎經》，用當今西方醫學體系的觀點來看，會有許多不合現代科學的地方；然而，《佛為阿難說入胎經》可反映出西元三、四世紀以前所流行的醫學觀念與宗教內涵，《四部醫典》「人體胚胎發育圖」也可以代表西元八世紀西藏的婦產科醫學與生命起始觀念。因此，西藏目前仍十分通行的「生死流轉圖」，也可以說明在《入胎經》與「人體胚胎發育圖」基礎下，藏族對生命起始、消逝及不斷輪迴的獨特生死觀念。
