Abstract:	本研究之目的，乃由檔案史料及教育政策的觀點，探究我國自清末以來，近百年間中小學教科書發展的軌跡，由清末西學東漸的風潮、基督教會教科書出版事業、國人自編教科書、審定制度的發展、國家級編譯機構的設立、教科書出版企業化經營、戰火下教科書的質變及臺灣地區教科書制度的發展等議題切入，以見證社會及政治環境變動下，教育與教科書制度的轉變及相關議題，並就臺灣地區教科書史料保存現況作一說明，以及展望未來教科書研究之方向。
