Abstract:	本文擬以流星、慧星來源的揣測與成份的分析、形成的原因，來解釋太陽系、行星演化的可能模型。並簡述流星、慧星等天文事件對於人類歷史上的影響。最後以對於百武慧星的新近發現，說明和鼓勵喜好天文的觀測者巡視星空與探究天文現象的重要性。對於即將在明年三月下旬到坊，且有世紀大慧星之稱的赫爾博普 (Hale-Bopp) 慧星，期盼能適時提供給中小學教師們足夠的相關慧星知識，來誘導學生追尋對於天文現象的熱衷和暸解。
