    Abstract: 本文在探討如何利用Toulmin、Giere、Root-Bernstein等人的理論作為地球科學史分析的架構,以提出地球科學理論形成的結構。地球科學史的分析素材則以許靖華所著之古海荒漠一書,此書的主要內容為紀錄地球科學家們在進行科學研究時,解決異例及提出古海荒漠理論的種種過程。除了地球科學理論形成結構的分析外,更進而探討如何將此模式轉化為科學學習歷程,期希望能為日後科學史在科學教育的應用提供參考。
