<title>Experts’successful psychomotor performance was characterized by effective switch of motor and attentional control</title>
      <link>http://utaipeir.lib.utaipei.edu.tw/dspace/handle/987654321/17448</link>
<description>title: Experts’successful psychomotor performance was characterized by effective switch of motor and attentional control abstract: Objectives:This study proposed that Mu (8–13 Hz) and SMR (12–15 Hz) readings in the sensorimotor corticalarea can be used to investigate the cognitive mechanisms underlying optimal motor performance.Design:This study used a within-subject design.Method:Forty expert golfers were recruited to perform 60 putts while their EEGs were recorded. The puttingdistance was chosen to ensure that approximately 50% of all putts would be missed so that there was a need forconstant adjustments to be made during performance. Successful performance was defined as the ball going inthe hole. Results:(a) Lower Mu power in Cz, and alpha power in Pz and Oz were observed for successful performancescompared with unsuccessful performances at T1 (−2000∼−1000 ms); (b) Higher SMR power in Cz was ob-served for successful performances relative to unsuccessful performances at T2 (−1000∼0 ms). Conclusions:Thesefindings not only support the multi-action plan model (MAP) and the psychomotor efficiencyhypothesis, but also reveal the temporal dynamics of the cognitive mechanisms in an optimal-controlled state.

<title>Seeking positive strengths in buffering athletes’life stress- burnout relationship: The moderating roles of athletic mental energy</title>
      <link>http://utaipeir.lib.utaipei.edu.tw/dspace/handle/987654321/17447</link>
<description>title: Seeking positive strengths in buffering athletes’life stress- burnout relationship: The moderating roles of athletic mental energy abstract: In search of positive strengths that bolster athletes’ reaction to stress, the purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of athletic mental energy on the athletes’ life stress–burnout relationship. This study recruited two samples (Study 1 = 230; Study 2 = 159) and administered the College Student-Athlete’s Life Stress Scale (CSALSS; Lu et al., 2012), Athletic Mental Energy Scale (AMES; Lu et al., 2018), and Athlete Burnout Questionnaire (ABQ; Raedeke and Smith, 2001). Two separate hierarchical multiple regression analyses found that the emotional and cognitive components of athletic mental energy moderated the athletes’ life stress–burnout relationship across the two studies. Results provided the initial evidence that athletic mental energy can be positive strengths in buffering the stress–burnout relationship. Theoretical implications, limitations, practical applications, and future research directions are discussed.

      <title>不同途徑之同儕教學模式對迷你網球學生內在動機之影響</title>
      <link>http://utaipeir.lib.utaipei.edu.tw/dspace/handle/987654321/17446</link>

<title>Exercise type relates to inhibitory and error processing functions in older adults</title>
      <link>http://utaipeir.lib.utaipei.edu.tw/dspace/handle/987654321/17445</link>
<description>title: Exercise type relates to inhibitory and error processing functions in older adults abstract: This study investigated the association between exercise type and inhibition of prepotent responses and error detection. Totally, 75 adults (M = 68.88 years) were classified into one of three exercise groups: those who were regular participants in open- or closed-skill forms of exercise, and those who exercised only irregularly. The participants completed a Stroop and task-switching tasks with event-related brain potentials (ERPs) recorded. The results revealed that regular exercisers displayed faster reaction times (RTs) in the Stroop task compared with irregular exercisers. The open-skill exercisers exhibited smaller N200 and larger P300a amplitudes in the Stroop task compared with irregular exercisers. Furthermore, the open-skill exercisers showed a tendency of shorter error-related negativity latencies at the task-witching test. The findings suggest that older adults may gain extra cognitive benefits in areas such as inhibition functioning and error processing from participating in open-skill forms of physical exercises.
